River Plaza benefits from being located in one of Chicago’s hottest neighborhoods and from having some of the best views of the Chicago River and the ever-changing skyline beyond it. The building is located across the street from where the Trump International Hotel and Tower on Wabash Avenue, and fortunately, skyline views from River Plaza won’t be effected by the addition of the neighboring tower It was built in 1977, and at 56 floors it was then one of the largest residential towers on the riverfront, holding nearly 700 separate condos.
Size isn’t the only thing that River Plaza has going for it though; the building also features a swimming pool and a health club for use by all building residents. And for its location, the price of a condo in River Plaza is surprisingly affordable, as the prices range from the low $200,000s to the low $600,000s. One-bedrooms are of course the most affordable, and they’re mostly occupied by young professionals who work in the area, but there are also larger two- and three-bedroom condos available in this building that are priced between $500,000 and $1 million.
