Although few people know it by name, most Chicago residents instantly recognize the Park Tower, both for its distinctive slender appearance and for its location opposite the John Hancock Center on Michigan Avenue's "Magnificent Mile." On the list of Chicago's tallest skyscrapers, the Park Tower currently ranks tenth, although it is sure to drop down a few slots in the coming years, considering the skyscraper boom that is currently underway in the city. Even though it has a very small footprint, it is still one of that largest residential buildings in Chicago because of its height. The Park Tower is home to the Park Hyatt Hotel in the building's lower portion, while the upper floors house luxury condos.
The units in the Park Tower are much larger than your typical Chicago condo, as a two- or three-bedroom condo averages more than 2,000 square feet in size. The size of the bedrooms themselves vary pretty widely too, as they can range from just over 150 square feet to more that 450 square feet. Most of the units also come with separate dining rooms and vary spacious kitchens as well, and the living rooms are big enough to host a nice sized cocktail party. A two-bedroom condo in the Park Tower can range from the low $700,000s to the mid $800,000s, while a three-bedroom condo can cost between $1 million and $1.5 million.
