The Legacy is a tall, slender new construction condo created by the same team that did the Heritage at Millennium Park. Its super sleek design resonates with Millennium Park's futuristic style and contemporary artwork, which can be seen from the tower's residences. The building has 72 stories that house an assortment of very unique floor plans. Condo units include one to four bedroom layouts with up to 2,900 square feet of living space. There are two outdoor sky garden lounges located on the 42nd and 60th floors, plus a landscaped terrace and sundeck on the 15th story.
As you might expect of a brand new Chicago condominium in the heart of the Loop, The Legacy has the latest and greatest building amenities and unit features. There's a heated indoor lap pool and whirlpool, fully-equipped fitness center, 24-hour lobby attendant, concierge, private indoor parking, individual storage lockers, bicycle room, and high-speed Internet access. The units are divided into three categories: Park Residences, Skyline Residences and Millennium Residences. The latter have highly upgraded kitchens with Wolf stainless steel gas cooktops and ovens, Sub-Zero side-by-side refrigerator/freezers, and undermount Franke double-bowl sinks. All condos boast panoramic insulated windows, hardwood floors in the main living areas, and luxurious master baths with six-foot soaking tubs, separate showers, and stone tile flooring.
Ninety percent of the units at The Legacy have already sold and occupancy is expected to begin in 2010. Prices for available condos start in the mid $400s and go up to $4 million+. The tower was designed by architect group Solomon Cordwell Buenz & Associates. It's located just off of Millennium Park at the corner of South Wabash Avenue and East Monroe Street, a short walk from famous Chicago landmarks such as the Art Institute, Grant Park, the Chicago Cultural Center, State Street department stores, and historic hotels.
