Chicago Condo: Imperial Towers
Building Address:
4250 North Marine Drive, Chicago, IL 60613Uptown is one of the North Side of Chicago’s most resurgent neighborhoods in regards to real estate, and the Imperial Towers serve as one of the neighborhood’s most enduring anchors. The twin towers were both built in the early 1960s and they each stand 29 stories tall. The Imperial Towers are perhaps the most prestigious addresses in Uptown, one of the North Side of Chicago’s most scenic and diverse neighborhoods.
Built in 1963, the Imperial Towers are the biggest high-rise condo buildings in the neighborhood, and together they make one of the largest residential complexes in the entire city of Chicago. Because the towers are so tall, and because there aren’t large high-rises on either side of them, residents of the Imperial Towers enjoy some of the brightest units and best views of any Chicago residence. The building is located practically across the street from Montrose Harbor, giving residents easy access to one of the best stretches of lakefront in Chicago. Additionally, these massive towers border North Marine Drive just across the street from the Waveland Avenue Golf Course, which occupies a large stretch of the lakefront.
Among the special features and amenities that are offered to residents of the Imperial towers are the availability of garage and valet parking (for a fee), access to an outdoor swimming pool, workout facilities, a small library, and a community room that can be reserved. The buildings also have their own marketplace, a dry cleaner, and a beauty shop, and there are security guards on the premises 24-hours per day.
