Condo vs. House: the benefits of condo life!

Condos are a popular property choice in bigger cities and make up the majority of residential real estate in Chicago. In locations where there isn't a lot of building space, condominiums are many times the best way to go. For one, single-family homes are less common in areas with dense population, making them harder to find and more expensive. Condos offer home buyers a lot of variety in size, style and price, catering to people of all tastes and budgets.
Some think purchasing a condo means you have to give up the backyard and private outdoor space. Not so. Many condos have individual terraces or patios where residents can have a grill and throw a barbecue for friends and family. Other condos offer larger, communal outdoor courtyards or rooftop decks where everyone is welcome to hang out and entertain guests.
Condo dwellers also have less maintenance and home repair responsibilities than house owners because the condo association hires staff to take care of the building. Another nice perk to living in a condo is the additional on-site amenities. It might be unfeasible to have your own pool or gym or business center if you lived in a single-family house - but in a condominium, you can get all those things and more - as long as you don't mind sharing!
