I'm planning of purchasing a unit in Chicago, I am from Alaska and I'm having a vacation in Chicago some time next year. I'll drop by and check the units, I hope the prices are still negotiable and affordable.

I agree with the article wholeheartedly. I would add that most of the "deals" to be had are short sales. That being said, parents should start looking 8 to 10 months in advance, rather than 3 to 4 months for a traditional purchase. Failure to do so will result in their not having the chance to entertain well priced short sales.

Most people want to lower their bills but for the most part at least currently sometimes going lowering your bills is not as easy as it sounds.I have looked at eco-friendly and green technology alternatives and adapted where it makes financial sense. So far I have also installed solar panels on my home but while looking for a electric car I find the cost doesnt justify it for me and also doesnt lower my bills much. While I am passionate about making good financial choices and opting for green technology whenever possible it is up to people like you and I to spread ideas about how to lower your bills. Your website looks popular and I think you can help influence society with your insight and tips. By the way I found your site by searching " Cleaning Your Home " and you were the first result. So I think your website is a perfect platform to discuss ideas that are thought provoking to help influence your readers to make wise choices with our budgets. - Good luck with your site, you deserve all the success! Please continue to talk about more tips on saving money, every idea helps us get closer day by day!

Most people want the golden ring, so moving them towards a realistic yet within means goal won't be easy. People thinking with foreclosure that the next million dollar home is theirs for 200k is not helping either.

Yeah if foreclosures reduced overall sales along with higher priced homes becoming more affordable, I would be very hesitant to think this is light at the end of the tunnel.

This are great tips that all condo owners shuld consider. Hey, you know what, your right about the kitchen cabinets, my mom would usually leave the back open or put on the things that are used only for super special occassions. But when that occassion occur we need to pull out the things in front to get those at the back and to prevent them from breaking.

Since when does the median price indicate an increase in home prices? Never has.

Just means that more higher priced homes sold relative to lower homes. May mean that higher priced homes have become more affordable or that sellers have been more realistic in agreeing to sell.

Of course coupled with the latest foreclosure data where the foreclosure pipeline extended and reduced sales, the data could point to fewer lower priced homes sold.

Nice spin, "this does suggest a move in the right direction for home sellers."
